The online selection for exhibit location  will begin the week of Monday, Feb. 9. The selections will be made according to a company’s seniority as SEMA Show exhibitor, and its membership in SEMA and/or the Tire Industry Association (TIA).

The companies that have sent in their space agreement and deposit will receive notice of their prescheduled call time from SEMA show management. During the actual space-selection, the company representative will use the telephone call with his or her show management account executive to select the company’s exhibit location while viewing the show’s floor plan via the Internet.

Previously, SEMA Show exhibitors traveled to Las Vegas to attend the space drawing in person.

"Technology has advanced to the point where selecting space for the SEMA Show online is easier than ever before," said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA's vice president of marketing and communications. "Our new space selection process has many advantages and offers many benefits to our exhibitors. The technology is easy to use, and provides a realtime view of all show-floor options available to exhibitors. They won’t have to travel. Additionally, SEMA will provide technical support so that even first-time Internet users will receive the program’s full benefits."

About the 2004 Shows Sponsored by SEMA

This year SEMA will sponsor the third SEMA Spring Expo at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis on Friday and Saturday, March 5 and 6. Featuring both the LTAA Light-Truck Accessory Expo and the PRO Restyling & Trim Expo, SEMA's Spring Expo will also offer an off-road proving ground. Previous SEMA Spring Expos were held in Chicago and Nashville, Tenn.

A month later, SEMA will hold its seventh International Auto Salon (IAS) from Friday through Sunday, April 2 to 4, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. IAS, which will have two venues beginning this year, is SEMA’s trade and consumer show for the rapidly growing sport compact performance segment of the automotive accessory and specialty equipment industry. IAS is the only show organized by SEMA that is open to consumers as well as industry personnel: all other SEMA-sponsored shows are open to the industry only. Prior IAS shows were held in Pomona, Calif., Long Beach, Calif., and Los Angeles.

In May, the International Auto Salon-Atlantic City will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center Friday-Sunday, May 21-23.  IAS-Atlantic City will mirror its West Coast sibling show while incorporating features reflecting the difference between the East Coast and West Coast youth vehicle markets.

The 2004 world-renowned SEMA Show is set for Tuesday, Nov. 2, through Friday, Nov. 5, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Famous because of its vast array of unique automotive vehicles, huge number of new product introductions, and participation by the world’s carmakers, the 2004 SEMA Show will be the 28th consecutive show the organization has held in Las Vegas.

Companies interested in exhibiting at any or all of these SEMA shows should contact SEMA Show Management, 702/450-7662, ext. 120.
